We wanted to make it easier to update the firmware on our display. So we dove in and setup a web based uploader so you can update the firmware without minimal software installation. You basically only need the CH340 serial driver (if you don’t have it already installed). Once you have that you can just connect your display to your PC, go the page linked below and select the firmware you want to update to.

Click here to go to the web based firmware updater!

The update works fine with Windows systems, we don’t have any Mac OSX machines to test on, so if you do test on those, let us know how it goes. I tested on a newer version of Linux and the web based flasher worked fine. If you have any issues seeing the device you will want to check that your distro has built in support for CH340 serial devices, or if not you will need to install those drivers for your distro of choice.

Hopefully this makes it easier for those who want to do the firmware updates as we add new features!

Let us know if you have any questions, feedback, etc on the firmware updater!
